Through a partnership between Stop Hunger Now India and Synopsys India, Don Bosco Navajeevan Homes in Hyderabad, a home for street and at-risk children, now will be able to provide three meals a week for three months to the children they serve.
At a Stop Hunger Now meal-packaging event on September 19 at Pragathi Resorts in Hyderabad, volunteers from Synopsys India packed 20,000 meals for Don Bosco Navajeevan, which operates 86 homes for street and marginalized children. Don Bosco Navajeevan Homes is operated by Salesian Missions, which serves and cares for 1.5 million boys and girls every day.
In addition to providing food for children in need, Stop Hunger Now India also serves people affected by famine, cyclones and war who do not have work, Don Bosco officials say. Stop Hunger Now, they say, creates “concern among corporations to support the most needy people of our society.”
