Now is the time to tell the Senate what we want to see in the 2020 fiscal year federal budget. Smart investments in health, nutrition, and quality education in the world’s poorest places can dramatically change the futures of women and children around the world.
In partnership with developing countries, the U.S. has led the fight against extreme poverty by investing in smart global development programs that improve health and build brighter futures. Congress has worked in a bipartisan fashion to protect and advance these programs.
This year, we are asking the Senate to provide $250 million for Nutrition in Global Health in the State and Foreign Operations Appropriations bill.
You can act now and ask your Senator to help ensure funding for these important programs.
