Rise Against Hunger India inaugurated its new Hyderabad office and warehouse on August 4, 2025, celebrating a decade-long journey of partnership, growth and community impact that has transformed Hyderabad into one of the organization's fastest-growing regions. The event brought together corporate partners, NGO leaders, volunteers, students and community members. With over 20 NGO partners and nearly half a million meals packaged annually, the new facility will serve as a hub for corporate engagement, volunteer activities and program management. The vision: to provide nutritional support to 10,000 people every month.

Over three days (July 26–28), community volunteers in Bongi Panchayat from different walks of life came together to participate in a community meal packaging event organized by the Rise Against Hunger India district team in collaboration with Gram Panchayat representatives headed by Mukhiya Shri Sukhdev Murmu Ji. Together, volunteers packaged 30,000 fortified meals to be distributed to families facing hunger and malnutrition in the district.

Rise Against Hunger India Begins Relief Operations in Flood-Hit Assam

As severe flooding inundated large parts of Assam affecting more than 600,000 people, Rise Against Hunger India launched relief operations in Nazira Circle of Sivasagar district. Food kits were distributed to approximately 1,500 people and freshly cooked meals served to around 300 people in temporary relief shelters. The next phase includes dry ration kits for 400 more families and sanitary pads for 200 women and adolescent girls. "Relief operations are continuing, with field teams stationed in the affected areas to support communities as floodwaters disrupt access to food, livelihoods and essential services," said Mr. Dola Mohapatra, CEO.

TB Nutrition Program (Safety Net – Meal Support) Launched at Referral Hospital, Chakai, Jamui

The TB Nutrition Program was successfully launched on 22 July 2026 at Referral Hospital-cum-Primary Health Centre, Chakai, Jamui, in collaboration with the Health Department, Government of Bihar, under the National TB Elimination Program (NTEP) and the TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan. During the program, 32 TB patients were provided with Rise Against Hunger India Meal Bags (216 fortified meals per bag), marking the beginning of regular monthly nutritional support in Jamui district. The team also educated participants on the correct preparation, cooking method, and nutritional benefits of the fortified meals. The Medical Officer In-Charge (MOIC) has formally acknowledged RAHI's contribution by issuing an official Letter of Appreciation.

Rise Against Hunger India Strengthens Livelihoods and Resilience Among Vulnerable Communities Through Enterprise Development

RAHI supported 430 vulnerable families across Godda, Pakur and Dumka in Jharkhand, and Banka in Bihar to establish or expand income-generating enterprises. Beneficiaries received seed capital along with technical guidance and mentoring for enterprises including poultry farming, goat rearing, dairy farming, grocery shops, tailoring units, and more. "Our approach goes beyond financial support. We work to strengthen the skills, confidence, and capacities of vulnerable families, particularly women, so they can build successful enterprises and become catalysts for change," said Mr. Dola Mohapatra, CEO.
