Urban Chapter Manager

About the Role

Responsible for end-to-end delivery and stewardship of Rise Against Hunger India's meal packaging programs at the city/chapter level. A hands-on leadership role combining operational ownership, people management, and local relationship stewardship to ensure chapter-level delivery aligns with national standards and targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own planning, coordination, and execution of all meal packaging events at the chapter level
  • Deliver volunteer orientation, hunger/nutrition education sessions during packaging events
  • Ensure chapter warehouses are clean, safe, well-organized, and compliant with standards
  • Oversee receiving, storage, and dispatch of ingredients and equipment (FIFO principles)
  • Mobilize, train, and facilitate volunteers for meal packaging events
  • Build and nurture a core group of repeat and high-engagement volunteers
  • Identify and manage relationships with NGO meal distribution partners
  • Conduct periodic field visits to assess meal utilization and gather feedback
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate hosts and institutional supporters
  • Promote meal packaging programs through outreach to schools, colleges, civic bodies, and community groups
  • Maintain accurate records for all events including volunteer participation, meals packaged, and NGO distribution

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree required; postgraduate qualification in social sciences, management, or related fields preferred
  • 6–10 years of experience in program delivery, operations, events management, or volunteer-driven initiatives
  • Demonstrated experience managing on-ground teams with high ownership and accountability
  • Prior exposure to warehouse, logistics, or operations-heavy environments strongly preferred
  • Experience working with NGOs or social sector institutions is desirable
