Functional Summary
The Youth & Adolescent Technical Specialist is responsible for designing, developing and executing programs for Youth Leadership & Adolescent programs of Rise Against Hunger India. The incumbent will work with Rise Against Hunger India’s field teams in rural and urban locations, with partner NGOs and other stakeholders to facilitate program development, progress, monitoring, evaluation and reporting of results.
Specific Areas of responsibility:
- Design and plan initiatives in selected urban locations related to Youth Leadership and Adolescent programs/projects.
- Develop manuals, guidelines, capacity building tools, handbooks, and planning templates on the above.
- Provide technical support to field teams in initiating these urban program interventions.
- Support implementation /monitoring: review plans and recommend for approval, monitor programs and carry out field inspections, fix issues and document successes.
- Facilitate trainings as per the modules and capacity building tools developed for urban programs.
- Build a set of project concept notes & proposals to be submitted to potential donors based on data gathered from the urban locations where Rise Against Hunger India operates directly.
- Track project progress and submit quarterly, half-yearly, and annual reports to the management/Board on projects being implemented.
- Contribute to grant fundraising efforts by responding to RFPs and Call for Proposal requests from different donors and submitting high-quality proposals and concept notes.
- Participate in annual planning and budgeting exercises, providing projections for the year and being responsible for achieving the projected estimates.

Qualifications
- Master’s degree in nutrition or related area (preferably with specialization on Community Nutrition)
- Experience in promoting adolescent-led projects to promote individual behavior change will be considered a bonus
- At least 8 years of work experience with minimum 5 years hands-on project implementation experience in youth and adolescent programs
- Must have a solid track record in proposal development and grants management
